Mr. Henri Sanguinetti - Head of Exploration
Mr. Sanguinetti has over 35 years experience in uranium exploration and mining, including more than 25 years with COGEMA, most recently serving as Head of the Reserve Evaluation Department. In that role he was responsible for the prefeasibility, feasibility and production for all of COGEMA worldwide operations including those in Niger, Canada, Kazakhstan and France. Previously, he served as the Chief Mine Geologist for six years at the Akouta uranium mine in Niger. During that time he supervised a team of 100 conducting exploration drilling of 75,000 metres per year. He also served as Chief Project Geologist for the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in Niger supervising drilling of 120,000 metres. This work led to the successful definition of over 50,000 tonnes of uranium currently being mined next to GoviEx ground at the SOMAIR mine. Mr. Sanguinetti holds a degree in Geological Engineering from the National School of Mines at Nancy and Post Graduate Studies at the Fontainebleau Center of Geostatistics.
Jeffrey K. Dorso - Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Jeffrey K. Dorso is Managing Partner at the Pioneer Law Group, LLP, a natural resources development law firm in California, USA. Mr. Dorso’s practice centers on counseling clients nationally and internationally, on various issues related to natural resources development, with a focus on the mining industry.
Prior to joining GoviEx management, Mr. Dorso served on the GoviEx Board of Directors from 2008-2011, participating on the Compensation Committee, Audit Committee, and Corporate Governance Committee.
Mr. Dorso received a B.A. from the University of California at Davis in 1998, and in 2001, he received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University. Mr. Dorso is currently licensed to practice before all California courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
B. Matthew Hornor, Esq - Executive Vice President & General Counsel
Mr. Hornor has been General Counsel of GoviEx since 2007 and Executive Vice President since 2009. Prior to assuming his management role with GoviEx, Mr. Hornor served as Vice President of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., based in Beijing, China, where he participated in the structuring and execution of project financing and capital raising activities. Before joining Ivanhoe Mines, Mr. Hornor worked as a Senior Associate with the international law firm, Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP in Tokyo, Japan, representing clients in various large-scale corporate finance projects, M&A transactions and out-bound cross-border transactions.
Mr. Hornor is a graduate of the University of Southern California (B.A., East Asian Languages and Culture (Japanese), minor in Economics) and the University of Virginia School of Law (JD). Mr. Hornor received two Japanese Ministry of Education (Mombusho) fellowships and completed graduate and post-graduate work at Tohoku University in Sendai and at Tokyo University in Law and Economics.
Aminou Boukary - Country Manager, Niger
Aminou Boukary has been working within the Niger mining sector for more than 10 years. Prior to joining GoviEx in 2007, Mr. Boukary worked as Country Administration Manager for the ExxonMobil-Petronas joint venture from 2002 through 2007.
Mr. Boukary’s background includes complex logistics management, strategic planning, public relations, human resources management, organizational management, and professional translation. Mr. Boukary holds degrees from Sophia Antipolis Technopole, France (DESS – MBA, Management/Marketing), Nice University, France (MA, English Studies), and the University of Cambridge, Great Britain (Translation). He also holds various certificates in Health, Safety, Environment and Security Awareness.
