Govind Friedland - Executive Chairman
Govind Friedland is a second-generation mining entrepreneur who has taken his aggressive and charismatic business practices around the world with established companies and entrepreneurial start-ups.

Prior to forming GoviEx, Mr. Friedland served a half decade with Ivanhoe Mines and Ivanhoe Energy in the capacity of Business Development throughout the Asia Pacific Region.

Since February 2007, as GoviEx Chief Executive, Mr. Friedland has raised approximately $100 million dollars to fund acquisitions, finance exploration and other corporate initiatives focused primarily on the exploration and development of uranium assets in Niger.

Mr. Friedland was a founding member of iPulse High Power Systems, a hi-tech company focused on providing innovative solutions for the minerals, oil and gas and manufacturing sectors.

He began his career as a Field Engineer for Kiewit Pacific, a division of Peter Kiewit & Sons and earned his degree in Geology and Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Charles Scorer - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Scorer has been working in the African mining sector since 1985 with extensive experience in the processing, marketing and transportation of uranium concentrate and nuclear fuel. Mr. Scorer previously was CEO Nufcor International, a joint venture between First Rand International Limited and AngloGold Ashanti Limited. He also has worked for the South African Chamber of Mines Research Organization and remains a partner of Accord Nuclear Resources LLP, an investment platform for acquiring uranium production assets.

Mr. Scorer holds an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Natal, South Africa.

Pierre Massé - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Pierre Massé has held several senior financial positions with public mining and exploration companies over the last 30 years. Since 1998, Mr. Massé has worked for Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. in various capacities as Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance. He earned his degree in mining engineering from McGill University in 1973, qualified as a Chartered Accountant by the Quebec Institute in 1976 and became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1993.

Jean Lamarre - Chairman of the Board
Since 1995, Jean Lamarre has been president of Lamarre Consultants, which specializes in offering strategic planning and organizing corporate financing. Lamarre Consultants works principally with organizations that specialize in the domains of life sciences and information technology.

Previously, Mr. Lamarre held the title of international vice-president for the Canam-Manac Group one of the largest structural steel companies in North America, where he managed operations in Mexico, Venezuela, France and China.

For 15 years, Mr. Lamarre worked for the Lavalin Group, one of the world’s largest engineering and construction firms. He went from managing international projects in Africa and in Central America to CFO of the firm in seven years. He was also European VP, supervising operations in Belgium, France and England.

Matthew Lechtzier
Mr. Lechtzier is a qualified lawyer with extensive experience in marketing, transaction execution and documentation of a variety of international financial transactions. He has acted as project manager and senior advisor for over 80 public and private offerings. For over 15 years, Mr Lechtzier has served as Senior Vice President of Ivanhoe Capital Corporation in their offices in Singapore, Vancouver and London where he is based. He has been responsible for execution, marketing, banker and investor relations for both public and private affiliated companies. In addition, he has overseen the raising in excess of $450 million in three separate initial public and other offerings while at Ivanhoe Capital.

Mr. Lechtzier’s previous experience is as Director of Equity Capital Markets with Jardine Fleming Securities in Hong Kong, a pre-eminent Asian based investment bank (now J.P.Morgan). Over his lengthy financial management career, Mr. Lechtzier has served on the Board of Directors of various public and private companies including most recently First Calgary Petroleums Ltd.

William J. Assini
Mr. Assini has over 25 years of management, finance and accounting experience with Canadian-registered companies and government organizations, most recently as a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers. His professional background includes corporate restructuring, asset-based lending and other forms of non-traditional financing and forensic accounting services to corporations and legal cases.

Mr. Assini is a Chartered Accountant and earned a BA from McGill University. Mr. Assini also currently serves as a director of subsidiaries of the Power Financial group.

Dr. Thomas Neff
Thomas L. Neff has been a Senior Researcher at MIT's Center for International Studies since 1975. Between 1977 and 1986 he directed the International Energy Studies Program at MIT, overseeing research sponsored by energy industry firms. Dr Neff has researched nuclear fuel markets since 1975 and is the author of The International Uranium Market (1984) and numerous publications on energy topics. In October 1991 he proposed the U.S.-Russia HEU agreement and was invited to Moscow in December 1991 to discuss his proposal with Russian weapons scientists and government officials. He has subsequently assisted both governments on HEU and other nuclear security matters, receiving the 1997 Leo Szilard award for these efforts. Dr Neff has served as an advisor to many mining and industrial companies on strategy, on arbitration and litigation matters, and originated nuclear fuel transactions, including the first offtake agreement for Kazakh uranium in 1992. He has also advised the White House, the Department of Energy and the U.S. State Department, as well as several foreign governments. Dr Neff received his PhD in Physics from Stanford University in 1973, subsequently conducting research at UC Berkeley, Stanford and MIT. He is a frequent speaker at nuclear industry and investment conferences and advises financial firms on nuclear fuel markets and investments.
